Irwin to hold ethnic food festival

An ethnic food festival and craft show will be held in downtown Irwin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 12.

Crafters will be in the parking lots along Second, Third and Fifth streets. Restaurants will be offering ethnic food menus.

The Mikey D band will be strolling up and down Main Street.

‘Back the Blue’ event planned

Music, food and children’s games will be featured at the ‘Back the Blue’ event to show support for police and dispatchers in North Huntingdon and Irwin police from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. June 30 at the Moments rental hall, formerly the Norwin Community Resource Center, 231 Jennie Drive, North Huntingdon.

Vendors will be at the event, as well as an ice cream truck.

The musical group 2Broke Country Girls is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m.

West Newton library to hold book sale

The West Newton Public Library is accepting donations of hardcover, paperback nonfiction, biographies, children’s books and DVDs for its circulation to patrons and for its upcoming book sale from 8 a.m. to noon June 12 in the library parking lot at 124 N. Water St.

Customers are asked to maintain social distancing and wear masks.

West Newton to hold community yard sale

A community yard sale in West Newton is planned for June 12.

In conjunction with the yard sale, the Community Revitalization of West Newton organization will host a festival featuring local vendors and food trucks from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 12 at the Vine Street Park.
