Norwin Rotary donates to Meals on Wheels
The Norwin Rotary Club has donated $5,000 to the Norwin Area Meals on Wheels program for the purchase of a cooler/refrigeration unit at the New Hope Presbyterian Church in North Huntingdon, where the group prepares the food it delivers to homebound recipients in the area.
The money for the donation was provided by Rotary International, according to Gary Teti, a Norwin Rotary Club member.
Women’s group to meet
The Norwin Area Chapter of Women’s Business Network will hold an open house from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. May 26 in a virtual manner via ZOOM.
Local women entrepreneurs and professionals are invited to learn how you can become part of a community of dynamic women committed to the success of not only their businesses but the success of others within the largest women’s networking organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Membership is category specific by chapter and some of the open business categories available are: printer, florist, chiropractor, web design services, dentist, pet care, seamstress, travel, and health/wellness.
RSVP is required to Sharon Bone at 412-817-4842 at least 2 days before the event. Attendees will receive a link to the online meeting via email.
Women’s Business Network group to meet
The Norwin Area Chapter of Women’s Business Network will hold a virtual open house from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. May 26 via ZOOM.
Local women entrepreneurs and professionals are invited to learn how to become part of a community of women committed to the success of not only their businesses but the success of others within the largest women’s networking organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Hartford Heights fire department to host carnival
Amusement rides, foods and games will be featured at the Hometown Carnival May 25 - 29 at the Hartford Heights Volunteer Fire Department in North Huntingdon, 14335 State Route 30.
The carnival will be open from 6 to 10 p.m. May 25 - 28 and from 2 to 10 p.m. May 29.
Those attending the carnival are asked to follow all Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
