Come, Talk to host speaker on Sept. 8
Josh Horner of Johnstown, a suicide loss survivor, will be the guest speaker at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at the the nonprofit Come, Talk Inc. at 321 Main St., Irwin.
The program, which begins with an open house from 4 to 6 p.m., is timed to coincide with Suicide Prevention Week, from Sept. 5 to 11, said Amanda Morrison, founder of Come, Talk Inc. The center provides support and suicide prevention information to those in emotional distress.
This event is free and is open to teenagers and adults. Because space is limited, those planning to attend should contact Morrison at come.talk15642@gmail.com or 724- 978-1330 by Sept. 3.
Mon Yough Chorale seeks singers
The Mon Yough Chorale, a community choral group, will resume rehearsals at 7 p.m. Sept. 12, at Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church, 1665 Lincoln Way, White Oak.
The chorale is seeking new members, with no audition required.
At this time, only fully vaccinated singers will be accepted and proof of vaccination is required.
