Craft, vendor show at New Hope Church

The New Hope Church Craft & Vendor Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Circleville Volunteer Fire Department social room, 129 Robbins Station Rd., North Huntingdon.

Lunch can be purchased, and the sale of baked goods will assist the church’s mission projects. Crafts, seasonal favorites and unique items available for purchase will support local artisans.

A ticket raffle will be held for a handmade quilt to support the purchase of a police dog protective vest.

St. Stephen Church to sell pirohi Nov. 5

St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, 90 Bethel Road, North Huntingdon, will sell potato/cheese and sweet cabbage pirohi beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 5 in the church hall.

The cost is $10 per dozen.

Irwin hires officer

Irwin has hired a part-time police officer. Council on Oct. 13 hired Kyle J. Morton at a rate of $22.88 per hour.

Indiana County bus trip planned for Nov. 4

A bus trip to Indiana County, with shopping in Smicksburg, lunch and an afternoon tea, and tour of the Jimmy Stewart Museum and Dan Smith Candies, is planned for Nov. 4. The trip includes dinner and entertainment.

The bus will leave the Norwin Hills Shopping Center at 7 a.m. and return about 9 p.m. Cost is $149.
