Norwin area: 'Seussical,' card party, Oktoberfest

Norwin to perform musical

The Norwin High School Theatre Company will perform“Seussical,” based on the characters of Dr. Seuss, at 7 p.m. Oct. 21, 22 and 23, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 24, at the high school auditorium, McMahon Avenue, North Huntingdon.

There are 58 students in the cast and 30 members of the stage crew. It is the theatre company’s first indoor show in more than a year after the 2020 performance of The Little Mermaid was canceled because of the covid restrictions.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students and senior citizens. For information, visit www.nhstheatrecompany.com.

Card party set for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church

The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Christian Mothers will hold their annual Card Party and Salad Bar at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 in the church’s Mack Hall, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon.

Players should bring their favorite card game, board game or play silent bingo, if there are enough participants.

There will be door prizes, a share-the-wealth raffle and a Chinese auction. Tickets are $10 and must be prepaid before Oct. 25 and no refunds.

Irwin church plans Oktoberfest

Pork, kielbasa, hot dogs, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, applesauce and dessert will be on the Oktoberfest menu from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the First United Church of Christ, 400 Main St., Irwin.

The dinner will be pre-sale, take-out only; tickets are $10.
