A Norwin elementary teacher has worked with her students to bring some cheer during the five weeks they have been at home, receiving online lessons instead of in-school instruction since mid-March.
Rachel Read, a music teacher at Stewartsville and Sunset Valley elementary school, assembled a video montage to showcase the happiness of her students practicing recorder songs, learning the “Cup Song,” making their own instruments at home, or singing a simple song, the school district said
“Between long days spent on the computer, and missing the time of teaching in my classroom, these photos and videos have brought me such joy!” Read said.
“Our community and these students are for sure #norwinstrong,” said Read, who is completing her master’s in music education with her Kodaly certification from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Read, who is in her third year at Norwin, expects to earn her master’s degree in August.
