Oakmont Bocce League members compete Monday through Thursday at the court next to the borough building along Fifth Street.

There are 16 teams in the league and more than 32 players.

Each team plays one game a week.

The Pols took on the Steamrollers on June 1 before the council workshop meeting.

The season lasts from mid-May through mid-September and competitors have a celebratory picnic at the end to mark another successful year of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The league has been around since 2011. Its current commissioner is resident Rich Luciana.
