Oakmont Water Authority crews said a water main break Thursday impacted traffic but not service to businesses in the area.

The break along a 12-inch line occurred around 11 a.m. in front of The Pub at 333 along the 300 block of Allegheny Avenue.

A worker at the restaurant reached in the afternoon said they did not have a service disruption.

The road was closed for about an hour and then reopened to one lane for traffic headed toward Verona.

Temporary traffic lights are set up in that area.

Borough officials also instituted temporary parking restrictions along Allegheny River Boulevard parallel to the repair site to assist with traffic.

Water authority crews on scene said they were able to complete line repairs shortly before 5 p.m.

They expect the road to be fully reopened by 9 p.m.
