A 66-year-old woman from Ohio was fatally injured on a crash on Route 22 in North Fayette on Saturday morning, according to state police.

State police said the single-vehicle crash happened around 9:15 a.m. on eastbound Route 22 just east of the Oakdale exit, Exit 15.

According to state police, Jody A. Ware of Strasburg, Ohio, was traveling east in the right lane when she lost control of her minivan and hit a concrete barrier. She counter-steered right, colliding with an embankment and traveled off the road before her vehicle overturned into the right lane.

Ware was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

State police did not specify when or where Ware died.
