A 22-year-old Pittsburgh man was fatally shot late Friday night in the Crafton Heights section of Pittsburgh, police said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Martell Good of Crafton Heights. Medics transported him to a local hospital, where he died.

Police said they received a report at 9:55 p.m. that a man was shot in his torso outside a residence in the 300 block of Stratmore Street.

Shortly after the fatal shooting, police said another man with a gunshot wound to his torso was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Police said they found him while investigating a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Middletown Road and Berry Street.

A Pittsburgh Public Safety statement confirmed that the Stratmore Street shooting and two-car crash on Middleton Road at Berry Street were related.

An unidentified man from the Middleton Road accident was still in critical condition at a Pittsburgh hospital Saturday evening.

The driver of the second vehicle in the crash was an off-duty Pittsburgh Police detective who climbed out of the vehicle and helped other police officers give aid to the shooting victim. The officer was not injured in the accident, according to a Pittsburgh Public Safety.

A woman driving the vehicle in which the wounded man was a passenger was taken by police for questioning.

Two males fled from the vehicle on foot, according to witnesses.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police have not made any arrests and the investigation into the incidents is continuing.

Anyone with information on the shooting or crash is asked to call the police department’s Major Crimes unit at 412- 323-7161.
