Parkway East fully reopens after weekend work closure

Motorists on the Parkway East (Interstate 376) drive under the Greenfield Bridge, which connects Pittsburgh’s Greenfield neighborhood to Schenley Park.
After a weekend closure, the Parkway East is fully reopen on both the eastbound and westbound lanes, PennDOT officials announced early Monday morning.
Officials said work replacing an overhead sign structure between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and Edgewood/Swissvale interchange was completed early, with the roadway opening back up a little before 3 a.m. Monday.
The closure was originally expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
