Allegheny County Police are investigating a crash that resulted in a pedestrian’s death Tuesday night in Forest Hills.

Emergency responders were called to the 2000 block of Ardmore Boulevard, just south of Kenmore Avenue, where they found a man who’d been hit by a vehicle. Police said the man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as Thomas O. Pamplin, 57, of Pittsburgh, and said he was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he died.

The car involved in the crash remained at the scene.

County homicide and collision reconstruction units are investigating.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
