Pedestrian taken to hospital after being hit by vehicle on Pittsburgh’s South Side

A Pittsburgh pedestrian was taken to a local hospital Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on the city’s South Side.

The incident was reported at about 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sarah and 10th streets, according to Allegheny County 911.

No information was available about the extent of the victim’s injuries.

The intersection was closed while emergency personnel were on the scene but has since been reopened, authorities said.
