2 people arrested after Penn Hills carjacking ends with vehicle crashing into wall

Two people were arrested after a carjacking in Penn Hills on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

Police were called to a carjacking around 2 p.m., according to an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher. The call was reported at the 2300 block of Main Street, he said.

Police followed the fleeing suspects until they crashed into a wall at Jones Street and Bell Avenue in North Braddock, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.

Police arrested two people, who had prior arrest warrants, WPXI reported. Officers also recovered two guns.

There were no injuries, according to the 911 dispatcher.

Additional details regarding the incident were not immediately available.
