Man critically injured in Penn Hills shooting

A man was critically injured in a shooting Tuesday night in Penn Hills, according to police.

The shooting in the 400 block of Hershey Road was reported to Allegheny County 911 dispatchers shortly before 11:30 p.m.

First responders found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the chest. He was taken to an area hospital.

Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating.
