The Rosedale Fall Festival brought together hundreds of people from the Penn Hills region to celebrate the end of summer and usher in fall.

Held Sept. 11-13 on the grounds of the Rosedale Beach Club in Penn Hills, it also capped the community pool’s 99th year.

The three-day event included lots of food, games, carnival rides, music, vendors and raffle baskets.

Serving the residents of Oakmont, Verona and Penn Hills, the Rosedale Beach Club relies on the festival as its main source of funding aside from the pool’s memberships. Proceeds will be used on maintenance and repairs and to help keep membership prices steady.

In a Facebook post after the event, organizers thanked the community for its support.

“The past three nights were nothing short of amazing, and we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our generous sponsors, outstanding vendors, Penn Hills marching band and the community of Penn Hills and Verona. It’s a testament to the power of community that this festival happens.”

The Rosedale Fall Festival has been a community tradition at Rosedale Beach Club since 2016, when the pool board took it over from Verona Borough.

In the post, organizers also noted how “an amazing village” of volunteers steps up each year to help with fundraiser.

“There are countless individuals who deserve our thanks. As we wrap up our 99th year, we look forward to our centennial celebration. The best is yet to come.”
