Assault, robbery cases among those recently handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

  • Lauren Dumm, 30, of Charleroi on charges of burglary, robbery, aggravated assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy, terroristic threats, possession of instruments of a crime, recklessly endangering another person and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed Feb. 13.
  • Samuel Sethman, 42, of Belle Vernon on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, possession of instruments of a crime, recklessly endangering another person and two counts of burglary. Charges were filed Feb. 13.
  • Dayon Caldwell, 20, of Penn Hills on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, criminal mischief and aggravated assault. Charges were filed March 13.

Waived preliminary hearings

  • Darrell Banks Jr., 30, of Verona on charges of aggravated assault, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, disregard traffic lane, possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment. Charges were filed Feb. 3.
  • Jill Direnzo, 31, of Export on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving. Wilkins police filed the charges Feb. 22.
  • Craig Shipman, 49, of Braddock on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and public drunkenness. Charges were filed March 11.
