Drug, theft cases among those recently handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court – Jan. 14, 2019

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

  • Collin Helsel, 36, of Penn Hills on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to perform duties at stop sign and turning movements and required signals. Charges were filed Sept. 5.
  • Frederick Wyble, 61, of New Kensington on charges of retail theft. Verona police filed the charges Oct. 16.
  • Frank Porter, 26, of North Versailles on two counts of receiving stolen property and five counts of theft by unlawful taking. Wilkins police filed the charges Dec. 17.

Waived preliminary hearings

  • Deresha Patterson, 31, of Verona on two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Charges were filed June 12.
  • Damien Delts, 44, of Duquesne on charges of burglary, simple assault, unlawful restraint, recklessly endangering another person, criminal mischief and five counts of terroristic threats. Charges were filed Feb. 3.
  • Andrew Sharp, 34, of Penn Hills on two counts of indecent exposure and two counts of open lewdness. Wilkins police filed the charges Oct. 1.
  • Kent King, 62, of Pittsburgh on charges of strangulation, burglary, intimidating witness, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Nov. 19.
  • Trent Latey, 19, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. Wilkins police filed the charges Oct. 7.
