Drugs, robbery, DUI among cases handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court for the week of April 12, 2021

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Brandon Diggs, 22, of Penn Hills on charges of possession of controlled substances, tampering with physical evidence and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. Charges were filed Jan. 2.

Waived to court

• Brian Fitzgibbons, 43, of Penn Hills on charges of driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. Wilkins police filed the charges Sept. 7.

• James Williams, 35, of Verona on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, vehicle registration suspended, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection and evidence of emission inspection. Verona police filed the charges Oct. 3.

• Nicole Pizzi, 39, of Penn Hills on charges of robbery, attempted robbery, criminal trespass, terrorsitic threats, possession of instruments of a crime, retail theft, two counts of criminal mischief, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of simple assault. Wilkins police filed the charges Nov. 6.

• John Angel Sr., 54, of East Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and three counts of accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property. Wilkins police filed the charges Nov. 23.
