DUI, drug cases among those recently handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court
Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
• Andre Stanton, 39, of Penn Hills on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude officer, flight to avoid apprehension, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, failure to obey traffic control devices, improper pass, driving at unsafe speed, reckless driving and improper sunscreening. Charges were filed April 1.
• Phelix Nyawanga, 46, of Pittsburgh on charges of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, unlawful contact with a minor and aggravated indecent assault of a child. Charges were filed May 12.
• Ivan Brice, 19, of Swissvale on charges of attempted burglary, firearms not to be carried without a license, person not to possess firearms, resisting arrest, escape, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of controlled substances and two counts of tampering with physical evidence. Charges were filed July 14.
• John Jones III, 43, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, driving without a license and duties at stop sign. Wilkins police filed the charges Jan. 13.
• Edwin Williams Jr., 20, of Penn Hills on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, driving with a suspended license, failure to keep right, improper pass, duties at stop sign, turning movements and required signals, careless driving and reckless driving. Charges were filed June 24.
Waived preliminary hearings
• Byron Foster Jr., 37, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.02 or greater while license is suspended and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection. Wilkins police filed the charges March 21, 2019.
• Scott Hutsenpiller, 27, of Verona on charges of driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving. Charges were filed Dec. 26.
• Shane Kelley, 47, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence. Charges were filed Jan. 15.
• Mark Farneth, 59, of Arnold on charges of providing a statement under penalty and providing a materially false written statement involving the purchase, deliver and/or transfer of a firearm. Verona police filed the charges March 28.
• Jamour Hillard, 37, of Penn Hills on charges of simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Aug. 7.
• Brian Boehm, 29, of Penn Hills on charges of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, driving under the influence, failure to keep right and accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property. Charges were filed Dec. 26.
• Michelle Pusateri, 37, of Penn Hills on charges of simple assault. Verona police filed the charges March 3.
• Brandy Franklin, 25, of Pittsburgh on charges of criminal conspiracy and possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed April 20.
• Brandon Burkley, 35, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence, disregard traffic lane, turning movements and required signals and careless driving. State police filed the charges March 20.
• Randy Shipley Jr., 35, of Markleysburg on charges of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, two counts of harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct. Verona police filed the charges July 20.
• Brian Clow Jr., 20, of North Versailles on charges of possession of firearm with altered manufacturer number, flight to avoid apprehension, firearms not to be carried without a license and providing false identification to law enforcement. Charges were filed July 18.
• David Fiori Jr., 63, of Penn Hills on charges of attempted aggravated assault, accident involving death or personal injury, careless driving, reckless driving, two counts of disregarding traffic lanes, two counts of failure to stop at red signals, three counts of recklessly endangering another person and three counts of simple assault. Charges were filed July 16.
• Terry Manuel III, 24, of Pittsburgh on charges of escape, failure to obey traffic control devices, failure to keep right, improper pass, duties at stop sign, turning movements and required signals, driving at unsafe speed, reckless driving and two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude officers. Charges were filed July 31.
