DUI, drug charges among those handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court June 21, 2021
Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
• Cameron Faber, 36, of Penn Hills on charges of burglary, criminal conspiracy and theft by unlawful taking. Charges were filed Nov. 17.
• Asia Knight, 33, of Verona on charges of theft by unlawful taking. Charges were filed April 12.
• Michael Thompson Jr., 25, of Pittsburgh on charges of operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, flight to avoid apprehension, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed April 23.
Waived preliminary hearings
• Brian Avery, 56, of Penn Hills on charges of driving under the influence and failure to perform duties at stop sign. Wilkins police filed the charges Dec. 15.
• Saahir West, 24, of Penn Hills on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license, accident involving death or personal injury, accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property, driving with a suspended license, failure to keep right and failure to stop and give information/render aid. Charges were filed March 6.
• Daniel Colton, 23, of Penn Hills on charges of criminal use of a communications facility, possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver. Charges were filed April 2.
