Free covid-19 tests will be offered in Millvale today through a mobile unit of the Squirrel Hill Health Center.

Tests will be available from 9 a.m. to noon in the municipal building parking lot between Butler and Black streets.

No doctor’s referral is necessary. Anyone that has symptoms is encouraged to get tested.

The center suggests that people arrive early and use a smart phone for registration, if possible, while waiting in line. Masks are required.

People getting tested should not eat, drink or use tobacco products at least 20 minutes before arriving.

The mobile unit will be in Penn Hills from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at 10700 Frankstown Road and then in Squirrel Hill from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at 100 JHF Drive.

The Squirrel Hill Health Center was founded in 2006 to bring quality health care to people regardless of their income or insurance status.

The mobile unit will travel across Allegheny County offering the free covid-19 tests.

Results are expected to be emailed within three to five business days.
