Two Pittsburgh favorite companies have a tasty collaboration brewing for the winter season.
Grist House Craft Brewery and Turner’s Dairy came together for the first time in four years for the return of a decadent beer with a familiar sweet twist. Together, they created Udderly Baked, a brownie batter milk stout based on the rich flavors of Turner’s Brownie Batter Milk. The beer will be available at all four of Grist House’s taproom locations on Wednesday.
Turner’s beverages have been a mainstay of local dairy aisles and refrigerators since they were founded in Penn Hills in 1930. From their iced tea to their dairy products, the company is a Pittsburgh area staple.
“It’s always a blast to team up with Grist House on Limited Edition Flavors,” Steve Turner, vice president of sales and marketing at Turner’s Dairy, said in a statement. “We’re honored to partner with a family-owned brand that creates such high-quality and innovative beverages right here in Pittsburgh. And this collaboration is one that you won’t want to miss.”
Grist House Crafty Brewery opened in 2014 and offers a wide variety of craft beer and cocktail options.
“We love partnering with Turner’s, and bringing this beer back has been something fans have asked about for years,” said Kyle Mientkiewicz, co-owner of Grist House Craft Brewery. “Udderly Baked is a nostalgic celebration of playful creativity, local collaboration and pure brownie-batter bliss.”
