Penn Hills Library, 1037 Stotler Road, offers a variety of programs for all ages.

For a complete list of offerings and to register for programs, visit pennhillslibrary.org.

Feedback sought for library renovation

The Penn Hills Library is looking for feedback as it develops a plan and seek funding to renovate the facility to better serve the community.

The renovations will include updates to mechanical, electrical and functional elements, as well as improvements to patron amenities and experiences.

Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts to help the library design a welcoming and functional space for everyone.

To participate, visit tinyurl.com/mutvc6rb; the survey takes about seven to 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential and used solely for planning the renovation.

September is Love Your Library Month

For 10 years since the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Library Association started the Love Your Library Month campaign, the community has come together each September to show their support for Penn Hills Library.

Donations made to the library go further this month because contributions through Sept. 30 will be partially matched.

The Jack Buncher Foundation is committing $200,000 in matching funds for donations made to county libraries. In addition, the NiSource Charitable Foundation/Columbia Gas is committing $2,500 in matching funds.

To help, donations can be made in person by cash or check at the front desk of the library during operating hours, by mail or online at aclalibraries.org/explore/library-finder/penn-hills-library.

As an added bonus, Pizza Hut at 7301 Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills is donating 20% of every purchase made on Thursdays in September by using the code HUTGIVES — act fast because the last day of this fundraiser is Sept. 25.

Penn Hills Library also celebrated the monthlong campaign by holding its first Spirit Week from Sept. 22-26. Each day had specific clothing themes, and patrons were encouraged to join in on the fun.
