A man in his early 20s is recovering after being shot in the back in Penn Hills.

Police Chief Howard Burton said officers found the victim Wednesday after 11:30 p.m. along Robinson Boulevard near the Thad Stevens Volunteer Fire Department.

He’s believed to have been shot while in his car near a home in the 6300 block of Hallwood Drive, a little more than three miles from where he was found.

Burton said a woman reported seeing two black men in their 20s wearing hoodies standing along that road when a car pulled up near them. She told police she heard four gunshots, saw the car pull away and the men flee between houses.

Burton said officers went from Robinson Boulevard to Hallwood Drive where they found three empty shell casings and broken glass.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.

The suspects remain at large.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact 911.
