Penn Hills School District has computers available for students.
About 2,900 computers have made it to the district’s estimated 3,180 students’ hands so far this year, district technology director Russ Seibert said.
The district ordered electronic devices in May, June and July. However, delivery was delayed due to many other districts also placing orders.
Seibert said Penn Hills is in the process of getting 240 iPads to kindergartners to replace their chromebooks.
The district is also working to provide chromebooks to about 285 students who have have been using their home computers to do school work.
Families in need of technical assistance or who want to inquire about district computers can contact the technology department at 412-793-7000, ext. 1249, or email rseibert@phsd.k12.pa.us.
