Nadine Road in Penn Hills reopens, but expect delays through October as work continues

Nadine Road in Penn Hills has reopened, but traffic delays are expected as crews work to finish the ongoing project, Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced Friday.

The road has been closed between Lincoln Road and Allegheny River Boulevard since Aug. 10 while crews installed a drainage pipe and built two support walls along the road.

Crews will continue work, such as paving and miscellaneous construction, through October.

“While that work is taking place, drivers can expect to experience short stoppages in work zones,” the announcement said. Flaggers are directing traffic on the road.

The $10.7 million project began in February and includes removing a pipe that restricted water flow from a culvert, general roadway repairs and new signage installation. The work is being done by Northeast Paving.
