Park off-street during snow
Penn Hills is asking residents to refrain from parking on streets during snow events.
Keeping the streets clear of parked cars will enable plow trucks and emergency vehicles to safely and efficiently make their way through residential streets.
Parks closed
Parks and ball fields in Penn Hills, along with the restroom facilities at each, are closed for the season. Parks can still be used on a walk-in basis, however. The municipality reminds residents not to block park entrance gates.
Contracts awarded
Penn Hills School District officials recently awarded a five-year contract with AmCom to lease and service copiers at a cost of $8,880 per month or $106,560 yearly.
The contract is available for review on the district’s website via the Dec. 15 special meeting agenda.
The district also ratified an agreement with Equiparts of Oakmont to purchase nine water bottle filling stations at a cost of about $5,400.
