Penn Hills School District will switch to remote learning Wednesday due to expected poor weather.

School board President Erin Vecchio said district officials did not want to take the risk of something happening to students and staff on the way to school in the morning.

“We can’t put the kids in jeopardy,” she said.

All transportation services provided by the Penn Hills School District are cancelled, too.

Students and staff will follow what administrators called a “Flexible Instruction Day” schedule from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Plant department employees are to follow a more traditional work schedule as directed by the plant department director.

More information is available on the district’s website, phsd.k12.pa.us.
