Police arrest Wilkins man wanted on sexual assault charges

The Allegheny County Police have arrested a Wilkins Township man who was reported missing on Tuesday and charged with aggravated indecent assault, sexual exploitation of children and additional charges on Wednesday.

Police said Frank M. Derzak, 59, of Wilkins, was reported missing by a family member on Tuesday.

He was charged on Wednesday with aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual exploitation of children, endangering children’s welfare, corruption of minors and indecent assault in connection with a Jan. 1 incident.

Police said Derzak was taken into custody shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, following a traffic stop in Jackson Township, Butler County.

They previously released his photograph and that of an SUV he was believed to have been driving. He had been seen last in the Lower Burrell area.
