Another round of temporary moving road closures are expected to take place in Verona Monday night into early Wednesday morning.

Closures would begin around 7 p.m. at Center Avenue between Allegheny River Boulevard and Diamond Way, move to South Avenue at Diamond and then James Street at Diamond.

Inland Pipe Rehabilitation crews will be installing trenchless liners along 15 and 18-inch pipes.

It is the continuation of larger project to prevent storm water from entering the sanitary sewer system, and help reinforce pipes to avoid further costly repairs, borough Engineer Matthew Pitsch said.

He said not all three areas would be closed at once, and sections would be reopened as work is completed.

The company televised and cleaned the sewers in the area last month.

IPR was awarded the $79,214 project to be paid in large part through a $53,154 federal Community Development Block Grant allocated by the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development. The rest will come from borough funds.
