The Penn Hills Rotary car cruise Sept. 11 at Penn Hills Community Park took place for four hours under beautiful skies.

Typically, the Rotary does three to four fiundraising events a year. Much of the money raised by the organization goes to Penn Hills graduates in the form of scholarships, while some also goes to help the less fortunate in the area.

At the car cruise, adults and children enjoyed food trucks, raffles and, of course, a plethora of classic cars.

The event included a few mid-2000s Ford Mustangs and a range of Chevrolet Corvettes that were taken for a spin.

The Rotary’s next scheduled event will be October Fest on Oct. 9 at Green Oaks Country Club.
