Don’t let the heat of summer keep you from chilling out at the Penn Hills Library.

These days, libraries are more than just books and periodicals. And the Penn Hills site at 1037 Stotler Road is no exception.

The library’s mission is to “empower our community by providing free and equitable access to public spaces, information and resources.”

To that end, it offers jam-packed calendars of events for adults, teens and younger children. A wide variety of programs are scheduled each month — from art and music to science and games.

For a list of offerings, visit pennhillslibrary.org.

This summer, stop by for the air-conditioned comfort and stay to learn something new.
