Police in Georgia arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a September homicide in Penn Hills.

U.S. Marshals and sheriff’s deputies apprehended Michael D. Wade, 36, in DeKalb County after an arrest warrant was issued on a charge of criminal homicide, Allegheny County Police said.

Wade is accused of shooting Dante Jones, 34, multiple times at an Exxon gas station in the 4900 block of Allegheny River Boulevard in Penn Hills around 7:15 p.m. Sept. 9.

Jones was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Wade was arrested in Georgia without incident, police said. He is being housed in a detention facility awaiting extradition.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous. The department also can be reached via its social media sites.
