A tractor-trailer overturned and spilled its load on the Parkway East on Sunday.

Crews are clearing debris from the Parkway East near Churchill after a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled its load across the road and down a hillside, according to authorities.

The accident was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. near Exit 11 and emergency responders were still on the scene at 4 p.m. removing the spilled load, according to an Allegheny County 911 supervisor.

No information was available about what the truck was transporting but the items were packaged in white boxes.

Part of the roadway was blocked off but traffic was still able to pass, according to the 911 supervisor.
