Blood drive, covid vaccines planned Penn-Trafford area

Women’s group plans blood drive

The Community Women’s Club of Level Green will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 8 in the Lion’s Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road, Level Green.

Vitalant will conduct the drive, which will include testing for covid antibodies. All donors must be preregistered as spots are limited.

Covid vaccinations at St. Barbara Church

St. Barbara Church, 111 Raymaley Rd., Harrison City, is a site for area residents to get their covid-19 vaccinations provided by Bushy Run Pharmacy, a subsidiary of Mainline Pharmacy.

About 1,200-1,500 vaccinations, both Moderna and Pfizer, are being administered.

Retired doctors and nurses and parishioners are among those who have volunteered to help with the vaccinations.
