Penn Township held its annual fall festival Sept. 19 to 21 at Municipal Park.
Attendees enjoyed live music performances, carnival rides and games, food and crafts. A parade marched down Route 130 in the morning on Sept. 20 and fireworks lit up the sky above Municipal Park later that evening.
Some community members competed in the chili cook-off, pie baking contest or Lego build competition. Others showed off their antique vehicles during the car cruise. The 4th U.S. Light Artillery Civil War reenacting group, new to the festival this year, performed cannon firing demonstrations throughout the weekend.
The fall festival was created when the township celebrated its 150th birthday in 2005. The inaugural event took place two years later. Apart from 2020, the festival has been held every year since.
