St. Barbara Parish to hold bingo

St. Barbara Parish, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City, will host its monthly bingo at 6:45 p.m. April 5.

Paper packages start at $27. Doors open 5 p.m. Monitors and number boards are used for the players’ convenience.

There will be a must-go jackpot.

The kitchen will be open and there will be free coffee. The church is accessible.

Blood drive planned in Level Green

The Community Women’s Club of Level Green will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16 at the Lion’s Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road, Level Green.

Vitalant will handle all aspects of the blood drive and prospective donors are encouraged to visit the www.vitalant.org to find out more about donating blood before making the required appointment. All donors must be pre-registered as donation spots are limited.

Donors will need to use or reference the community code “C758.” Donors can also call 412-209-7000.

P-T quiz team to vie in state contest

The Penn-Trafford High School’s Academic Quiz Team will compete in the Pennsylvania Academic Competition in Harrisburg on April 29.

The team recently defeated Hempfield Area and Franklin Regional high schools at the regional finals, where 14 county schools competed.

The winning team consisted of captain Nicholas Freilino, Kaj Colby, Gigi Emahizer, Mark Harris, McCarthy Poljak, and Cade Stukus.
