Penn-Trafford area: Mental health program, Super Seniors meet

P-T to host program on mental health

Penn-Trafford will host a free program May 2 to help parents and guardians recognize the signs of student mental health issues.

Jordan Corcoran of Pittsburgh, the chief executive of Listen, Lucy, will describe her own battles with mental health issues and offer suggestion about how to begin a discussion with children during the program, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 2 at Penn-Trafford High School auditorium off Route 130 in Harrison City.

Corcoran, a graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, was diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic disorders during her freshman year in college.

Super Seniors meeting in Harrison City

Super Seniors of Westmoreland County will meet May 3 at noon in the Community United Methodist Church in Harrison City.

Lunch is $6 and reservations are needed for new attendees by calling Linda Briggs at 724-744-3993.
