Women’s Club to hold new member social

The Community Women’s Club of Level Green will hold a free new member social with dinner and friendship for women age 21 and older at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Level Green Community Building, 123 Murrysville Rd.

The club is for women who are interested in community service in the Penn Township area.

“No Strings Attached” is the theme for this year. The club provides educational and informational speakers at regular meetings, as well as a variety of adult socials, and provides a scholarship program to Penn Trafford High School seniors.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by texting Irene at 412-818-1124 by Sept. 8.

Symphony East Dixieland picnic set

Symphony East will host a Dixieland box-lunch picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 in Murrysville.

The 1 p.m. performance will feature the Ralph Guzzi Dixieland Band, and will be at St. Alban’s Anglican Church picnic pavilion, 4920 Cline Hollow Road in Murrysville.

The cost is $30 per person and includes a picnic lunch at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are required by Sept. 12, no tickets will be sold the day of the event. For reservations, see SymphonyEast.org or call 724-327-4864.
