Penn-Trafford area seniors meet, bingo planned and parade participants sought
Senior citizens groups to meet
- = The G Boys will provide the entertainment at the Penn Township Senior Citizens meeting on Aug. 24 at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Harrison City.
Lunch, which costs $6, will be served at 1 p. m. and the meeting will begin at 2 p. m. Dues are $2.
Masks are optional.
- = At the Super Seniors of Westmoreland County meeting at noon Sept. 4 in the Community United Methodist Church in Harrison City, Mickey Dee, an accordion player, will provide entertainment.
Lunch is $6.
Those attending should bring a mask. Reservations are needed for new members by contacting Linda Briggs at 724-744-3993.
Knights of Columbus to hold bingo
The Knights of Columbus will hold a bingo at 1 p.m. Aug. 29. at St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford.
The door fee is $15 for 20 regular games. There will be optional special games and 50/50 games. A $150 jackpot is guaranteed for a special cover-all bingo.
The prizes for regular games and the jackpot will increase with larger crowds.
Food will be sold.
Additional bingo events are planned for 1 p.m. Sept. 26 and 1 p.m. Oct. 24.
Fall Festival parade participants sought
The parade committee for the Penn Township Fall Festival is offering local individuals, groups and businesses to participate in the parade at 10 a.m. Sept. 18 along Route 130, from the Community United Methodist Church to Penn-Trafford High School in Harrison City.
Lineup begins at 9:30 a.m.
