‘Back the Blue’ event to benefit police

The Schoolhouse Tavern in Claridge will host a “Back the Blue” event at 7 p.m. July 31 to benefit the Penn Township Police Department.

A $10 donation will include a performance by Dallas Marks and an all-you-can-eat cookout at the tavern, 2001 Main St.

Manor Lions Club hosts Kid’s Day

Games, prizes, face-painting, balloons and crafts will be featured at the Manor Kid’s Day for children under age 12 at the Manor Lower Park from 1 to 4 p.m. July 31.

The Manor Lions Club, which is hosting the event, is seeking volunteers to help with activities.

Blood drive slated for Harrison City

An American Red Cross blood drive is slated for 1:30 to 7 p.m. July 27 at the Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Harrison City.

To register, go to RedCrossBlood.org, type in the 15642 ZIP code in the search box and find the list for the Harrison City blood drive.
