The Penn-Trafford School Board is expected to vote next week on a renovation project to remedy water damage on the roof of the high school.
The project was mentioned in a school board information and committee meeting on Monday. According to Brett Lago, the district’s director of business affairs, the work is estimated to cost $750,000.
If approved, Lago said the renovation will likely start the week of June 21 and wrap up before the start of the school year.
Lago said he expects the project to be approved since it is “necessary maintenance” to prevent additional damage. He said the cost would be covered by the district’s fund balance.
Discussion and a vote is expected during the board’s next meeting at 7 p.m. June 14.
