PennDOT announces road work on Nicholson Road in Franklin Park set to begin Aug. 8

PennDOT says work should begin Monday, Aug. 8 on Nicholson Road in Franklin Park, weather permitting.

Roadway improvement work on Route 4049, Nicholson Road, in Franklin Park is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 8, weather permitting, PennDOT announced on Friday, Aug. 5.

Single lane restrictions will occur on Nicholson Road between Rochester Road and Wexford Bayne Road daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through mid-November. During paving operations, the time for road restrictions will be extended. Additional details will be provided in advance of the start of the work.

Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base and shoulder repairs, guide rail updates, pavement markings, and other various construction related activities.

The prime contractor on this $5.24 million group paving project is A. Folino Construction.
