A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Brookline neighborhood.

Allegheny County dispatch said the incident occurred around 8:25 p.m. along the 2000 block of West Liberty Avenue.

Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri said the victim, a 20-year-old woman, was found by city first responders unresponsive in the street. She was struck by an outbound pickup.

Togneri said the woman was transported to a hospital via ambulance in critical condition.

The section of the road remained closed as of 9:30 p.m.

The driver is cooperating with investigators. The investigation is ongoing.
