The pop-up bar next to Hough’s Taproom & Brewpub in Greenfield will go from being decorated in sparkling lights to being decorated with pixie dust.

The Tipsy Elf, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar that occupied the space during the holiday season, will be transformed into Neverland, a Peter Pan-inspired pop-up bar, from Feb. 3 until June.

Neverland is “an immersive cocktail experience, and will include riddles, actors, games, prizes and lots of fun,” said Shelley Allen of Hidden Media Network, which is based in Australia and brings these experiences to U.S. cities.

The success of the Tipsy Elf was a reason to open a similar temporary bar, Allen said.

“Hough’s Taproom is a great space, and, after seeing how well the Tipsy Elf was laid out, we thought it would be a great space for our new concept,” Allen said.

This will be the first Neverland pop-up bar Hidden Media Network has created.

The main bar at Hough’s, at 557 Greenfield Ave., still will be open. The 1,600 square feet of space the owners are leasing for Neverland is the former Copper Kettle Brewing Co. and includes an adjacent room with a bar.

“These pop-up bars are fun because I think there’s a sense of exclusivity and being able to experience a unique bar knowing that it won’t be around for long,” Allen said.

Allen said the space is designed to have guests enjoying the Blue Lagoon, climbing aboard the Jolly Roger and hanging out at the Lost Boys Hideout. Guests can hide from Captain Hook or enjoy a Tinkerbell-inspired cocktail.

The pop-up is based on the book “Peter Pan” by J.M. Barrie.

“Neverland bar is the ultimate Peter Pan experience, made purely for fans of the timeless classic,” Allen said.

There will be family-friendly sessions available.

Tickets are $40 for a 90-minute experience and can be purchased online.
