Pickle lovers, this year’s dates for the Picklesburgh festival were just announced — including an extra festival day.
Running four days long in 2026, the Downtown festival will be held from July 16 through July 19, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced.
“Back by popular demand, Picklesburgh will kick off Thursday and run through Sunday, giving locals the perfect opportunity to get a head start on the festivities before the weekend crowds,” the announcement said.
Vendor applications are now open for the festival, and more information can be found online.
Launched in 2015, Picklesburgh has been recognized by USA Today as the Best Specialty Food Festival in America four times and featured as a “Signature Event” by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Tourism Office.
In addition to being a food festival that celebrates the brined cucumber, Picklesburgh features live music, games, shopping and other activities.
The pickle festival in Downtown Pittsburgh has once again been nominated this year by USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards. Locals can help vote once per day until polls close at noon on March 2.
Over the coming weeks, the announcement said more details about the event — including the schedule and footprint — will be announced via Picklesburgh.com.
