Garden and Pond tour
Twelve impressive gardens and ponds in the Wexford area will be showcased in an all-day tour. Homes will be available for a self–guided or VIP Coach tour from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. July 8. The tour offers everything from DIY magical creations to the masterpieces of professionals and often the combination of both.
This year, a bonus of six select kitchens (both indoor and outdoor) are also included. Graeters Ice Cream shop in Wexford (at the Whole Foods Shopping plaza) will be the starting point where maps may be picked up from 9:30 a.m.-noon July 8. All homes are within a 15-20 minute drive of the shop.
A percentage of the proceeds will support clean water projects in Uganda through CEED-Trust.org as well as a Girls School in Pakistan ZWEEFoundation.org.
This event is also supported by “nspired Women Paying it Forward and the Greybrook Garden Club. This bi-annual event tends to sell out with early bird pricing ending July 1.

Flea market
A flea market will take place at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish at St. Richard Church Social Hall, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 14 and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. July 15, with a half-price sale 1-3 p.m. on July 15. The sale will continue after masses on July 16 until noon. There will be a huge selection of kitchen and dining items, jewelry, purses, books, toys, holiday and home decor and much more.
Hockey camp
Pine-Richland ice hockey camp for kids entering first through fifth grades will take place July 25-27. It will be led by Pine-Richland varsity ice hockey head coach Jordan Yoklic and middle school head coach Brian Smith. Varsity players will assist campers. Sessions will take place on ice at the Frozen Pond of Pittsburgh and off ice at Richland Park. Cost is $100 per player. For more information, email prhockeyregistrar@gmail.com.
Kennywood tickets
Pine-Richland Band Boosters organization is selling Kennywood tickets as a fundraiser to support the Pine-Richland Marching Band. Is one of the largest fundraisers annually. The cost for a ticket to the P-R Kennywood day on Aug. 18 is $39. Tickets for any other date are $44. Tickets purchased through the band are less expensive than tickets online or at the gate, which can be as much as $65. Tickets may be purchased throughout the Kennywood season at NexTier Bank in Wexford, NexTier Bank in Gibsonia, and the Pine Township Community Center.
