Pancake breakfast

Richland Township VFD’s annual all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast returns 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 5 at 5857 Meridian Road in Gibsonia. Donations are accepted and multiple Chinese auction baskets will be raffled. Proceeds benefit the Richland Township VFD.

Writing Project

The Western PA Writing Project from the University of Pittsburgh will be hosting its 10th annual Young Writers’ Institute from 9 a.m.-noon June 19-23 at the Sing Sing Sing Studio in Wexford for incoming fifth through eighth graders. Scholarships are available if needed. Pittsburgh area young adult fiction writer Caroline Carlson will be a guest presenter. Register online at atlasartpress.com/shop/ywi-2023.

Sealarks

Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. March 8 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road in Allison Park. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone – widowed, divorced or never married. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. The program will be a Tai Chi demonstration. For additional information, call Edie at 412-487-7194.

Hosanna Gibsonia

Kitchen Club Jr. is for anyone 4-11 years old. During each session, students will be hands on creating after school snacks, entrees, pastas, baked goods, and breakfast, along with kitchen safety, table setting, kitchen responsibilities, and basic table etiquette.
