Pine-Richland student achievements for the week of April 11, 2023
Robby Palmieri is one of seven Baldwin Wallace Univeristy and one of 364 NCAA Division III men’s wrestlers to be named as a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American honors. Palmieri, who garners his first accolade, is a national security major.
This season, he was an All-Ohio Athletic Conference second-team selection. Palmieri won a career-high 28 matches with career-highs in major decisions (4), pins (3) and technical falls (2). Off the mat, he is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, Dean’s List student, and Jacket Scholar.
Kira Welker was named an Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2022-2023 academic year. Welker is in the industrial engineering program.
Katelyn Terchick was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Terchick was initiated at Clemson University.
Patricia Blume made the dean’s list at the University of Dallas for the fall 2022 semester. Julia Bukowski, a politics major at the University of Dallas, was named to the honor roll for the fall 2022 semester.
Pine-Richland students named Students of the Month for February/March at A.W. Beattie include junior Jasmine Robinson (advertising design), senior Mara Hopf (sosmetology), junior Madeline Slayton (health and nursing sciences) and junior Logan Trembulak (HVAC).
Eight Pine-Richland High School sophomore Spanish III Honors students took the Level 3 National Spanish Exam, competing against students across the country. All eight students placed. Gold: Levina Jithesh. Silver: Claire Dosch, Nadia Hines, Lyla Yoon. Bronze: Kennedy Lutz, Erin Murray. Honorable mention: Ryan Kim, Sarah Shaffer.
